Our woodcutters hut is set back in the trees from our enormous wild meadow (home to our bell tent village comprising of ten canvas bell tents and two homemade shepherds huts) in a working chestnut coppice of almost 100 acres of private family owned woodland.
Entirely off grid accommodation built from natural and recycled materials on site the woodcutters hut offers complete privacy from the rest of the site this is the ideal accommodation to get away from it all.
Take a walk to the Hucking Estate (approx. 1 mile away) or for the more adventurous head entirely off road to the very top of the downs. The White Horse Wood and Thurnham castle ruins are both our favourite spots for a flask of tea where you can enjoy spectacular views across the weald. The Black Horse Pub is a further 5 min stroll down onto the pilgrim’s way.

The log cabin is the ideal getaway for when you need to power down, switch off, slow down and have some quiet time in nature with your other half or even some time alone! Staying here is a unique experience and a gem of Air B n B. Hosts are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Incredibly well styled cabin that was fun to stay in. It is very glam glamping not a hotel, so be prepared to enjoy that to its fullest - lighting the outdoor fire and cooking outside, heating the bath water with cool devices etc. In May it was a little bit chilly so be prepared with layers and good walking boots or trainers.

This is a magical place to stay! Beautiful tents and facilites in 55 acres of woods to explore, with lots of space (and a swing) to play. Everything was provided to camp easily and simply and Molly and her husband were very kind, welcoming and accommodating. Thank you.
